Foremost Home Health Tech Coy Launches revolutionary on-demand Staffing Solution

To help solve critical staffing shortages in home healthcare, Axxess, the fastest growing home health technology company, is creating an innovative new solution called AxxessCARE to 'Uberize' the process of connecting home health agencies with qualified clinicians to provide care to patients anywhere and at any time.  AxxessCARE is seamlessly integrated with AgencyCore, Axxess' secure, HIPAA-compliant software platform, allowing agencies to conveniently post visits for qualified professionals. After downloading the AxxessCARE mobile app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, clinicians can apply to take visits after background checks and license verifications have been completed. Agencies will have the flexibility to review and select the most appropriate clinician for each posted visit.

Just as Uber creates an on-demand solution for passengers, AxxessCARE addresses Staffing Shortages by Connecting Agencies with Qualified Clinicians.  "We're confident AxxessCARE is going to revolutionize the delivery of home healthcare in the same way Uber has transformed the transportation industry," said John Olajide, president and chief executive officer of Axxess. "Agencies consistently identify staffing among their major challenges. Through AxxessCARE they will be able to extend their staffing capabilities with access to qualified clinicians to meet patient needs. At the same time, clinicians will enjoy a more convenient way to work."

Axxess is testing AxxessCARE in a pilot program with agencies and clinicians in the Dallas-Fort Worth area over the next few months, fine-tuning the platform and process before introducing it to the entire industry.

An innovation leader in home health software and solutions, Axxess is the first and only software provider to provide native mobile apps for both iOS and Android devices, and earlier this year integrated OASIS patient assessment and documentation into the app, enabling clinicians to productively work anywhere at any time.

"AxxessCARE is intuitive, easy to use and a logical next step in our commitment to meet the needs of agencies and clinicians to modernize the delivery of healthcare in the home," Olajide said. "Axxess is the key to home health success because we are leading innovation and our platform helps our customers focus on patient care, not paperwork."

Through the sophisticated AxxessCARE program, clinician profiles, competencies, expertise, availability and ratings can be viewed by agencies at any time and agencies are able to communicate with interested clinicians, post visits and coordinate care in real-time. AxxessCARE's state-of-the-art electronic visit verification feature helps agencies know when visits are complete so they can review documentation, easily process payments and rate performance.

"With AxxessCARE, agencies can grow their business by accepting more referrals, testing new markets and, most importantly, matching qualified clinicians with patient needs," Olajide said. "We think they are going to love the convenience of knowing they can access additional qualified staff at their fingertips.

"Clinicians who are part of the AxxessCARE network can apply for visits that are convenient to their location and schedule, at rates that work for them," Olajide added.

National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week 2017, May 6–12, is themed, “Nursing: the Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit.” It’s all about celebrating nurses who lead the charge for health and wellness. National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale's birthday. These permanent dates enhance planning and position National Nurses Week as an established recognition event. As of 1998, May 8 was designated as National Student Nurses Day, to be celebrated annually. And as of 2003, National School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week each year.

The nursing profession has been supported and promoted by the American Nurses Association (ANA) since 1896. Each of ANA's state and territorial nurses associations promotes the nursing profession at the state and regional levels. Each conducts celebrations on these dates to recognize the contributions that nurses and nursing make to the community. The ANA supports and encourages National Nurses Week recognition programs through the state and district nurses associations, other specialty nursing organizations, educational facilities, and independent health care companies and institutions.

Axxess, the fastest growing Health Care Technology company in America has produced a video to appreciate Nurses during National Nurses Week.About 12,000 clinicians have downloaded the Axxess mobile application.

The Increasing Importance of Mobile Technology in Healthcare

Mobile devices have become ever-present in our daily lives, and it is difficult to participate fully in activities of the global economy and 21st century life without access to mobile devices. According to a 2015 mobile consumer survey by Deloitte, mobile has become indispensable across all demographics and geographies, and is now equated with life’s essentials: air, water, food – and smartphones.

The New Hub for Connectivity
Today, the Pew Research Center reports that more than 77% of Americans own smartphones. Mobile devices are vital for completing daily personal activities and professional duties, and consumer attachment to mobile devices continues to strengthen.

It is therefore not surprising that more individuals check their smartphones first thing in the morning and seem to never put down their devices. Advances in mobile technology have made these devices no longer just simple tools, limited to telephone calls and basic communication, but they have become a hub for connectivity, opening doors to internet-of-things, mobile payments, virtual reality and more.
